Sunflowers in Spring - Hand dyed and Handwoven Towels

$40.00Price

If I could grow sunflowers all year 'round, I would! These towels make me think of fresh, crisp Spring air and an unlikely sunflower blooming in full glory!

These 100% cotton towels are made with a hand-dyed warp and a natural, unbleached weft yarn. This warp is the same as my Angelfish towels and the difference between a dark and a light weft yarn is amazing! This warp survived the move from Florida back to Washington on my Louet Spring loom and has been patiently waiting to be finished as we settled back into a routine in the PNW.

Each towel measures approximately 25.5" long and 19.5" wide. They have been washed, pressed, and hemmed. I have found that pressing the towels gives them that gorgeous crisp look, but can interfere with absorption as the small cotton fibers become compressed under the iron. So I recommend washing as you would regular towels - hot water, hot dryer - but not ironing if you want maximum absorption. And while they have been washed and dried already, I suggest using a color catcher in the wash until you are certain there is no more loose dye left in the yarn.

Please note that the light yarn in this design can make the patterns subtle in bright/direct light. These photos are taken outside in natural light.

This set of towels was made in a pet-friendly, smoke-free environment.

Note that towels are individually labeled so please double-check that you're order selection matches the towel label in the photos. I do my best to ensure that the colors in the photos best represent the actual product, but due to variations in screen settings, I cannot accept returns due to the colors not being exactly as your screen portrays them.
