100% Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool , handspun into a light DK weight yarn in the soft, warm colors of Sedona. This roving was produced and dyed by Melissa's Yarn Barn and spun by me on my Spinolution Echo. This hank has been washed and set to remove extra dye, and then reskeined for accurate weight and measurement after blooming. While it has been washed, I still recommend washing separately until you are certain there are no longer any loose dye particles. My yarns are NEVER weighted while drying to ensure the balance is correct and the yardage is accurate. I also use a Crazy Monkey skein winder with a rotation counter to provide an accurate yardage count.

This skein is approximately 327 yards and weighs 4.4oz (125g).

BFL wool is a medium-fine wool that can vary in softness and I'd rate this a 4 out of 5 in the softness scale for Bluefaced Leicester wool.

This yarn is available as-is in hank form or it can be wound off into a ball. Note that if it is wound off into a ball it is NON RETURNABLE for any reason. The increase in cost is due to the extra shipping charges incurred as the yarn in a ball must be sent in a box rather than a soft-sided envelope.

Please remember, this is handspun and there will be various textures and yarn weights throughout the skein. I do my best to accurately represent the overall size and nature of the yarn, but it will vary.

Care instructions: To prevent extreme shrinkage and felting, handwash gently in cold water, lay flat to dry. Do not machine dry. Do not agitate vigorously in water. Do not ring out -- press flat to express excess water.
