Campfire Nights - Merino & Silk
Are you ready for cooler nights, campfires, and dark crisp skies? This 80/20 blend of Merino and silk is just what you're looking for!
This soft Merino wool has an extra beautiful shine to it with the addition of silk and I would consider it next-to-skin suitable. Each single strand was spun woolen style on my SpinOlution Firefly and then chain plied using my SpinOlution Echo to make a strong 3-ply yarn. It measures out at 12 wraps per inch, making this a nice sport weight yarn.
Only one hank is available. It weights 4.25oz (120g) and is approximately 240 yards.
This yarn is available as-is in hank form or it can be wound off into a ball. Note that if it is wound off into a ball it is NON RETURNABLE for any reason. The increase in cost is due to the extra shipping charges incurred as the yarn in a ball must be sent in a box rather than a soft-sided envelope.
Please remember, this is handspun and there will be various textures and yarn weights throughout the skein. I do my best to accurately represent the overall size and nature of the yarn, but it will vary.
Care instructions: To prevent extreme shrinkage and felting, hand wash gently in cold water. Do not machine dry. Do not agitate vigorously in water. Do not ring out -- press flat to express excess water.
This yarn was spun in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home.
